In the bowling Kuldeep’s fifer made the way for India as they secure a victory by a margin of 106 runs, leveling the 3-match series at 1–1.

Surya’s 360-Degree Skills

Suryakumar Yadav hit a match-winning century in the series decider

Suryakumar Yadav showcased his skills after India lost 2 quick wickets at 29 for 2. Shubman Gill’s lbw, was not referred to the DRS despite showing the ball leaving wide of the leg stump, and then Tilak came and went However, Surya sealed the batting in favor of India, maintaining a run rate of around 10 per over. Fifer for Kuldeep

Kuldeep Yadav celebrated his birthday with a 5-wicket haul

After setting a 200-run target, Siraj bowled an aggressive maiden first over, discomforting Reeza Hendricks and Matthew Britskee. Britskee’s playdown in the powerplay, along with Mukesh, Siraj’s run-out, and Jadeja’s contributions, set the stage. Kuldeep Yadav’s variations made them almost unplayable, securing figures of 5/24 on his birthday.

Starting with Donovan Ferreira and taking the last wicket of David Miller, he seems to be consistently targeting the right area by tossing up the ball outside the line of the leg stump. Due to a bit of turn in the pitch, pitch also played a part and helped Kuldeep clean up the batsmen with his deliveries.

Gains and Losses for India

In this white-ball format, bowlers are still a concern for India. If we take a look at the potential bowlers who could make it to the World Cup, names like Mukesh Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah come to the forefront. Arshdeep Singh might not get selected for the 15-member squad, but considering his participation in the ODI series against South Africa and continuous game time, he might be considered. It will be interesting to see where he fits in. Otherwise, spinners are performing exceptionally well for India. In the last series, we had Ravi Bishnoi doing his job, and in the current team, left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav is doing his work brilliantly.

What’s next for India?

The 50-over format is making a comeback, and for India, it comes with new faces in their squad. KL Rahul is captaining the new side and making his way into the team as a fourth-position batter for India. After his brilliant World Cup performance, he is leading the squad in the ODIs. It will be interesting to see how it goes for him.
